Confidence & Empowerment

"I found Frances and Coachly after searching for singing lessons in Cambridge. I have just finished the 4 week intermediate singing course. Frances is a lovely lady, she is clear with her explanations on technique. For a while I have found I have a lot of knowledge on singing but get confused with the shear volume of information. However, with Frances she explained vocal technique and the different elements in a way I can much better see now how they connect and make up the voice." Lauren W.

Frances

I’m a vocal coach, singer, and musician with over 25 years of experience, and, for the last 15+ years, I have been helping students develop their unique voices. I hold a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Music, and my approach to teaching is holistic—I focus on technique, vocal health, and building confidence, so every performance feels authentic and full of emotion.

Experience

My musical journey began in Italy, where I studied bel canto, musical theatre, pop-rock, folk, country, blues, and gospel. I play multiple instruments—drums, guitar, ukulele, and piano—which enhances my approach to music education. I specialise in recognising vocal registers and projecting sound effectively, helping my students to master these critical aspects of vocal performance.

I’ve worked with students at music schools and record labels across London, preparing them for competitions, TV shows like X-Factor, live performances, and studio recordings. Since starting teaching in 2006, I’ve guided over 300 students on their vocal journeys. I also have a background in speech, language, and voice therapy, which strengthens my ability to support students with their vocal health.

As a performer, I’ve shared the stage across the UK and Europe, been featured on several TV shows, and won the second place in "A Voice for Europe 1994."

In 2012, I had the honour of performing at the London Olympic Village and in 2016 I released my debut solo album, Shabby Road - featuring folk songs I began writing when I was just fourteen.

Music is my passion, and helping others find their voice and joy in singing is what keeps me inspired every day.
