In the UK, Grades 6–8 are eligible for UCAS

(Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) points for those applying to colleges and universities, as shown in the next column.

RECOGNITION

While for some learners graded Rock & Pop exams represent a personal goal or objective, they can also be used as a progression route towards:

• Performance diplomas offered by Trinity

or by other awarding organisation

• Music courses at conservatoires and

universities, for which Grade 8 is often

specified as an entry requirement

• Employment opportunities in music

and the creative arts.

Candidates can enter any combination of graded or certificate exams, and do not need to pass any particular level in order to proceed to a higher level.

Performance diplomas at Associate (ATCL),

Licentiate (LTCL) and Fellowship (FTCL) levels are available for all Rock & Pop subjects.
