Frequently asked questions

I have some experience and I had a few lessons in the past, which course should I choose?

If you have some previous guitar/uku experience and have had a few lessons in the past, the Intermediate Course is likely to be the best place to start. However, if you feel you need to revisit the fundamentals or would like to build a stronger technical foundation instead, the Beginner Course may be more suitable.

Which days and times are available?

Lessons are available on Monday, Tuesday,Wednesdays and Thursdays, with selected afternoon and early-evening appointments.

What is the difference between a course and an individual lesson?

The main difference is the level of commitment. An individual lesson offers more flexibility, and most students choose to book one session every fortnight. The personalised course includes four lessons and provides a more structured approach, allowing us to build on each session and work towards consistent progress over time.

How do I book?
Booking your lesson is simple:
  1. Visit our dedicated booking page and choose your teacher.

  2. Select a date and time that suits you.

  3. Complete your payment to secure your lesson.

  4. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details of your session.

Please note: Lessons are confirmed only once advance payment has been received.

What levels do you teach?

Lessons are available for beginner, intermediate, advanced students and professional singers.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a bottle of water to keep your voice hydrated during the lesson.

Do you offer online lessons?

Yes, online singing lessons are available and offer the same personalised coaching, tailored exercises and individual guidance as in-person sessions.

Do you offer free taster lessons?

We don’t currently offer free taster lessons. However, you can purchase a 30-minute lesson as a chance to meet your teacher, experience a lesson and decide whether our approach is right for you.

I have never had guitar/uku lessons before. Can I join?

Absolutely. No previous experience is required. Your lessons will be tailored to your level, confidence and individual goals, so you can begin at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

What will a lesson be like?

Each lesson is tailored to your level, experience and goals. We will work through strumming patters, explore technique and apply what you learn to songs you like.
